Woolwise is a family run businesss by Tina and Roy Mantle with Daughter Julie.
We are stockists of Rowan, Jaeger, Sirdar, Wendy, Peter Pan, Patons, Stylecraft, Tivoli, Quadra & Elle Knitting yarns - with a few yarns from other companies such as Adriafil (From Italy) and Lanartus (from Switzerland). Designer Yarns from Debbie Bliss, Noro, and Louisa Harding are also stocked. We keep a vast range of fancy and fashion yarns from all suppliers - with new yarns continually being added to our stocks.
We have a knitting up service for babies, children and adults (hand knitted or crochet) to your specification by our experienced team of ladies.
We keep stocks of all the basic knitting yarns such as Baby 2ply, 3ply, 4ply & Double Knitting - together with Courtelle & Wool mix DK & 4ply, 100% Courtelle DK, Chunky and Mega Chunky Yarns. Also knitting and crochet kits including Elle teddy bear kits.
We have thousands of patterns and designer books of multiple patterns, with a good selection of knitting needles and knitting accessories. These include Elle bamboo needles, circular bamboos and we now have a few handmade wooden needles upto a new large pin size of 25mm. In store we have a good selection of patterns to use with all our yarns, too many to show on our website although we do have a few of the most popular on the patterns web page and more to be added later.
Other accessories include Crochet hooks, fine cottons, French knitter, cable needles, stitch holders, tatting shuttles, row counters, some tapestry and cross stitch kits and many other useful items. Please contact us for any of your knitting and sowing needs and we will do out utmost to help.
